To welcome all guests to Breaffy House Resort; to anticipate guest needs and deal with all guests enquiries in a pleasant & efficient manner. To ensure the Front Desk operates in an efficient and organised manner. Responsible to: Rooms Division Manager/Assistant Front Office Manager. Main Duties. To present a positive personal image to the customer at all times, by being welcoming and friendly, and using the guest name at least once during check-in. To ensure that products and services are explained to the customer at all appropriate times. To answer the Switchboard to the agreed standard, promptly and clearly in a polite, warm and helpful manner at all times. To answer all internal calls to the agreed standard, promptly and clearly in a polite, warm and helpful manner at all times also. To ensure that all reservation enquiries taken are handled in a professional manner and used as a sales opportunity, following the agreed House Resort standards for each enquiry. To respond to guest needs quickly and to endeavour at every opportunity to anticipate guest needs. Be familiar with sales & promotional activity and up-sell at every possible opportunity. To make the necessary preparations to deal with the daily arrival of guests with advance bookings and that check in procedures are completed correctly. To deal with customers without advance bookings on arrival in line with departmental procedures. To take all opportunities to both promote products & cross sell hotel facilities to our guests and increase the customer base. To create and maintain an effective working relationship with colleagues and managers. Must have 6 months work experience in a similar role. Must be able to speak fluent English.
