Sous Chef We are seeking applications from suitably experienced Chefs to take on this new role in our busy all year round Hotel. It is an ideal opportunity to display your Culinary talents & lead a small,but very dedicated team,to deliver the very best dining experience in our 3*,68 Bedroomed Hotel. Duties & Responsibilities. * To assist in the design & delivery of creative menus,in line with Budgeted GP% * To assist in the day to day management of the Kitchen. * To assist in the Training & Coaching of the team,especially new members. * To maintain consistently high standards & quality across all areas of the food operation. * Maintain Purchasing,Receiving & food Storage policies & procedures. * Monitor team efficiencies & ensure a balanced team is rostered to suit the business levels. * Constant review of staffing levels to ensure guest service satisfaction,operational challenges & financial objectives are met. * To understand the agreed targets on food cost & payroll as per departmental budget. The ideal Candidate. * Display a creative & passionate approach to the production of Food. * Min 2/3 years experience in a similar senior role in a 3/4 Star property. * Display excellent attention to detail & consistency in producing high standards of Food at all times. * HACCP Qualification & a good working knowledge of this system. * Strong team leadership & organisational qualities,are essential. * A "can-do" attitude towards all aspects of this role is essential. * Fluent written & spoken English is essential.
