This is an opportunity for experienced Process or Manufacturing Engineers to join one of the most desirable employers in the region. Working on high speed production lines you will bring your expertise to bear on challenges ranging from the optimisation of existing processes and the development of new processes to the introduction of new equipment and manufactruing lines from the design phase. You`ll work closely with a dynamic, cross functional team across all divisions including Engineering, NPD, R&D and Quality. A degree in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or Mechatronics along with 5 years in a regulated manufacturing environment are required. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, project Management and experience in delivering results in line with project plans is desirable. RESPONSIBILTIES & DUTIES. Liaise with the core team in evaluation of product concepts to determine potential manufacturing processes. Review proposed product designs for manufacturability. Work with equipment vendors to develop equipment and process solutions. Lead manufacturing process evaluation and selection with reference to current manufacturing strategy and processes. Analysis of manufacturing cost and development of plan to achieve targetted gross margin. Development of User Requirements Specification to validation of processes for all required manufacturing equipment. Development and management of project schedules for manufacturing commercialization of selected product concept. Engagement of other Operations functions in critical decisions and developments. Travel 10% Domestic / 15% International. QUALIFICATIONS: Primary Degree in Engineering discipline (Mechanical/Manufacturing. Required experience: Minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience in high speed manufacturing environment (ideally medical device), to include extensive experience with development, evaluation and validation of manufacturing processes. Experience in New Product Commercialization and Gate stage processes is a distinct advantage. Proven track record in DoE and PoP development and execution preferably within a regulated environment. Specialized skills/technical knowledge: DFM. DFMEA, PFMEA. Lean/Sig Sigma. Project Management skills. Familiarity with process characterization techniques.
